On a random evening that brought us from Ventura County to the valley, we decided to finally give Social Pies a try and ordered a takeout. Having read some of the glowing reviews, we were excited to try a spot that seemed to have good pizza. This is strictly a take out operation that is operated out of a commercial kitchen. My one gripe was that the order took much longer than originally quoted. It seems that regulars knew this and were accustomed to potential delays. Once we got home to experience the pizza, much was forgiven. The crust was thin and crispy that made we think of NY style pizzas I had grown used to when I lived out East. The sauce is on point as is the pizza and toppings. We found ourselves murmuring how good these pies were and how surprised we were to find such quality pizza out of Canoga Park. While we may not go all the time, if we're in the area, Social Pies definitely will be a place we'll visit again.
My go to spot in the valley to get Detroit style pizza. The employees here are so friendly. I always get a Detroit style pizza and occasionally Parmesan garlic wings their wings are enormous and so delicious. Nothing beats this little joint for me
I've been following Social Pies for a couple of months and finally had a chance to check them out. I called ahead and ordered a large New York pie with pepperoni, fresh jalapeños, fresh basil and onions. Social Pies sets a new standard for what a pizza/pie can be in Southern CA. When i dine at many of my top pizza spots in Southern CA I add a lot of parmesan cheese, red pepper and italian seasoning to bring out flavor. At Social Pies it's not needed. Every bite is loaded with flavor and texture. The crusts is crunchy and chewy and slightly chared underneath. They use just enough cheese and it's nice and crispy. The sauce would be great over pasta. And they have fresh jalapeños! The New York Pie/pizza at my first experience at Social Pies was a perfect 10 out of 10. Soon we will likely be seeing the owners and Social Pies featured on food shows and opening multiple locations. Check them out. I highly recommend Social Pies.
I got the pepperoni chicago style and the bbq wings. The pepperoni Chicago style was pretty good! The only reason why why I couldn't give it a 5 star review was because of the wings. We ended up with buffalo instead of bbq, we had ordered bbq wings :( We decided to give them a try, the wings were big and juicy, skin was a little on the soggy side for me. Next time time I'll try them fried :) The buffalo sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. I liked it, the bf not so much since he's not a fan of buffalo.
Found them on Postmates and I am so glad I did! They have Chicago ,Detroit, LA and NY style pizza. I've tried them all and I can't decide which one I like the most because they've all been so good! I did notice every item on their menu isn't on the postmates one which is unfortunate. I'll just have to actually pay them a visit then to try the other items. them out you won't be disappointed!
Earlier this year my blushing bride began a quest: pizza/date night whenever prevailing conditions allowed. Takeout, eat at home, and enjoy the evening together. Tonight it was Social Pies (and a cocktail called "Orange Blossom"). Let me keep this short and sweet. All of the 5-star reviews are well deserved. We had a LA-style vegetable pizza. The best pizza we've had in a very long time. Really good crust Tasty tomato sauce Flavorful cheese Perfectly proportioned assortment of vegetables Everything about the pizza and the order/pickup experience was phenomenal.
